NIRF is known as National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. A core committee named as NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) was constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to identify broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions.
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a method adopted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to rank institutions of higher education in India. NIRF was first approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in India and later re-launched by the Minister of Human Resource Development on 29 September 2015.
Why is Nirf Ranking Important?
NIRF A National Ranking ensures that all higher educational institutions work hard to improve their rankings and NIRF also ensures that the institutions work hard every year to provide quality education to the students.
Who can apply for Nirf Ranking?
Registration is a pre-requisite for institutions wishing to rank themselves on the parameters defined by NIRF. Within each discipline, educational institutions are ranked in the following two categories: Category A: Institutions engaged in research and teaching.
Let us tell you that “The US News and World Report” releases the ranking of 1,800 colleges. And it calculates the ranking on 16 factors, which are also used for NIRF ranking, some of which are included below.
